The Bar & Eating
"A Voice To The Curious" We're told our little pub is like a homely house; a table is yours for the evening. We'd like to think we are the relaxed-casual type, yet underneath informative and deadly serious about our offer. Wine and Beer is a continuous load of joy to us, our list is small and without the usual suspects, if you wish we have a haggle board loaded with bottles that have a bit of age, peculiarity and some weight. Tankards of clean, frothy beer by Brakspear are on the pumps. Daily menus are not on this site but we can text you a current one if you'd like? The cooking of the menu has a French classical accent and comes with heaps of emotion, while offering well sourced, seasonal ingredients mostly from France and some of the UK’s best independent food suppliers. High welfare meat and sustainable fish from the British Isle is king here, ensuring decent plates of food. Our Tiny Bar; Please, no pushchairs or children under 12 as we are a tiny place. There is no childs' menu and children over 12 are fine in the dining room, but perhaps not in the bar area. However the garden is massive and all are quietly welcome there, even dogs! Simon's on his own in the kitchen, unless Charlie is helping, so please be patient. We look forward to warmly welcoming you soon then perhaps.
